ANAS Division of Earth Sciences held next meeting on Decenber 22.

The meeting attended by Academician-Secretary of ANAS Division of Earth Sciences, corresponding member of ANAS Fakhraddin Gadirov, member of the Division, Vice-President of ANAS, academician Ibrahim Guliyev, bureau members, heads of relevant scientific institutions, Academic Secretaries and staff.

The meeting was opened by Academician-Secretary of the Division, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov.

The meeting considered the issue on changing the structure of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Oil and Gas.

Then, a petition was submitted to the Presidium for approval of the candidacy of Ph.D in Geology and Mineralogy sciences Aliya Babazadeh to fill the position of the head of the Department of Paleontology and Stratigraphy of the ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics.

At the event, were discussed the papers presented by the staff of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics.

The next issue on the agenda was the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the approval of the “State Program for the Development of Remote Monitoring Services over the Earth’s Surface via Satellite in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2022”. It was noted that, in connection with this order a number of tasks were set before the Academy.

In conclusion, were considered some organizational and scientific issues.
