A scientific session devoted to the 110th jubilee of Mikayil Mushfig was held by the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS.

The event, held at the Electronic Hall of the Literature Institute, was opened by the Director of the Institute of Linguistics, academician Mohsun Nagisoylu. The session was held within the framework of President Ilham Aliyev's Decree dated May 17, 2018 "On the Occasion of the 110th Anniversary of Mikayil Mushfig's Birthday", he noted.

Lecture Prof. Dr. Şükrü Haluk Akalın, Head of the Center for Lexicographic Research at Hacettepe University in Turkey made a report on "Mikayil Mushfig's world of word ". The examples of oral literary texts, on the one hand, enlarge the poet's vocabulary and, on the other hand, have mastered the vocabulary, the speaker underlined.

He said Mikayil Mushfig's works have not been published in Turkey so far and only 3 dissertations have been made about it. He noted that currently works are being conducted in the Center for Lexicographic Research to promote the poet's life and poetry in Turkey and to explore the world of words, under his leadership a new dissertation is written.

Discussions were held after the report was heard. Prof. Sayali Sadigova, doctors of philology - Alizade Askerli, Nariman Seyidaliev, PhDs in philology - Sevinj Aliyeva, Kifayat Imamguliyeva, Khadija Heyderova, Teyyub Guliyev and others made their remarks and proposals.
