Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology held the 9th International Conference on Photosynthesis and Hydrogen Energy Research for Sustainability - 2018, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding scientist and socio-political figure, academician Jalal Aliyev on December 18.

ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Institute, academician Irada Huseynova spoke about the role of a prominent scientist Jalal Aliyev in determining new directions of biological science in Azerbaijan, and “Jalal Aliyev Lecture Scholarship Award” established by the International Society of Photosynthesis Reserch is a significant event for the Azerbaijan scientific community.

Further, at the event were delivered reports by corresponding member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, Doctors of Science in Biology - Shakhniyar Bayramov, Saftar Suleymanov, Tofik Allahverdiyev, young scientist Samra Mirzayeva and employee of French National Institute for Agricultural Research Ahmad Kheir-Pour.

In conclusion, student of academician Jalal Aliyev, Professor of Pusan National University Ismail Zulfugarov shared memories on his teacher.
