Bureau meeting of Earth Sciences Division

On February 13, Bureau meeting of Earth Sciences Division was held.

Vice-president of ANAS, academician Ibrahim Guliyev, academician-secretary of the Division, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov, members of the bureau and others attended the event.

Academician Fakhraddin Gadirov opened the meeting and familiarized the participants with the issues on the agenda.

The results of the admission to PhD and doctor’s degree in 2018-2019 academic year were discussed at the event.

Academician Fakhraddin Gadirov said that for the current academic year 11 people were admitted to the PhD and 10 doctor’s degree. The scientist emphasized that the dissertation topics should be selected in accordance with the basic requirements and tasks facing modern science.

Following the discussions, dissertation topics and scientific supervisors were approved and it was decided to present the results of the admission to the Presidium of ANAS.

Then some current issues were considered.
