ANAS Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi held an event dedicated to the Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's 150th anniversary, prominent democratic writer, playwright, publicist and public figure on February 21.

First, the participants visited the grave of the writer at the Alley of Honors.

Then, an exhibition on writer's works and publications about the writer's works was demonstrated at the foyer of the Institute of Literature by the library of this scientific institution and Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's home-museum.

ANAS Vice-President, academician Isa Habibbayli spoke about Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's rich and multifaceted creative activity, his invaluable services in the formation of national statehood and Azerbaijanism ideology.

Speaking about the essence of the measures taken to propagate the multifaceted heritage of the great thinker, I.Habibbayli noted that valuable works were written about him, and the creativity of the writer was investigated.

He noted that, Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was constantly fighting for the formation of Azerbaijani national and literary language on the basis of folklore and preservation of the mother language's purity. Today, the heritage of the great thinker is widely used in the struggle for purity of mother language.

It was noted that the writer's support for the democracy, the ideology of Azerbaijanism is the main element that distinguished him from his predecessors and predecessors. His deep humanistic content is dramatic and prose works, his artistic publicity involves national and universal values.

PhD in Philology Saadat Vahabova's report on national self-sufficiency in Mirza Jalil's work was listened at the event.

Panah Babayev, Director of the Mehdiabad School No.1 and Employee of Absheron District Education Department Saki Abbasova spoke about the new perspectives of Mirza Jalil's heritage and its priorities in his research and promotion.

Then, students of secondary school №1 of Mehdiabad demonstrated scenes by Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's works and performed poems dedicated to the writer.
