The Republican scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 110th anniversary of academician Hamid Arasli was held at Ganja Division of ANAS.

The event was attended by literary scholars and scientific community researchers who explored Hamid Arasli's creativity.

Opening the conference, chairman of the department, acad. Fuad Aliyev said that the event was held under the Presidential Decree dated 11 February 2019 "On the celebration of the 110th anniversary of Academician Hamid Arasli". F. Aliyev spoke about the multifaceted work of Hamid Arasli, who has made a great contribution to the study of ancient and medieval Azerbaijan literature, classical heritage publication, folklore. He noted that H.Arasli has extensively studied the epos "Kitabi Dada Gorgud", Imamaddin Nasimi, Mohammed Fuzuli, as well as the heritage of Eastern poets Firdovsi, Jamie, Hafiz, Alisher Navai.

Then a documentary film about life and creativity of Hamid Arasli was demonstrated.

It should be noted that the event participants are expected to visit some historical monuments and museums in Ganja.
