Nakhchivan Division of ANAS and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Ministry of Education organized the next "Interactive open lesson" for pupils of general schools in autonomous republic.

The lecturer of the Institute of Bioresources of the Division, PhD in Biology Namig Abbasov made a report on the theme "Rare species of flora of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and protection". The scientist talked about the measures taken to protect nature and natural resources in our country and at the same time in the autonomous republic. He noted that as a result of purposeful and planned measures the ecological environment, flora and fauna protection are kept in focus.

N.Abbasov noted that according to the decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov on August 15, 2006, the Red Book of the region was published for the first time on the flora and fauna of the region. He pointed out that the second volume of the book, which includes 202 species of plants, is important not only for the determination of the current state of rare species, but also for the study of the plant's scientific basis, its efficient and sustainable use, and its preservation.

The open lesson provided general information on the distribution, natural resources, reproduction, biological features of the rare species of the autonomous republic, accepted and necessary measures of protection.

It should be noted that the open lesson was observed in more than 200 general educational institutions of the autonomous republic.
