Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On December 13, a regular meeting of the Bureau of the Division of Earth Sciences of ANAS was held. The event was attended by academician-secretary of the division, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov, members of the bureau and relevant staff.

In advance, they discussed the important results obtained in 2019 in the scientific areas of the division in research, educational and other relevant institutions and passed the examination in the relevant specialties, and a resolution was adopted.

At the meeting, the issue of approving the topics of theses at the Council for the Coordination of Scientific Research of the Republic of Azerbaijan was considered. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the creation of the Council, appeals were discussed in connection with the improvement of problematic councils related to the Division of Earth Sciences of ANAS.

Next on the agenda was the issue of publishing a book dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Academician Ahad Yagubov. Fakhraddin Gadirov said that, in accordance with the decree of the head of state Ilham Aliyev on the anniversary of the scientist, a book was prepared entitled "Academician A.A. Yagubov - the founder of the science of mud volcanism in Azerbaijan." After discussions, the book was recommended for publication.

In conclusion, current issues were sheduled.
