Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS hosted for a meeting with the head of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijan International Scientific Education Center Dr. Taras Kavetski. 

In a meeting with the director of the institute corresponding member of ANAS Oktay Samadov, Ukrainian guest was informed about the activities of the scientific institution. 

The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation between the International Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Scientific and Educational Center and the IRP in the development of joint grant projects and scientific publications in authoritative international journals. 

Further, Dr. Taras Kavetski delivered a lecture on “Ion-Induced Processes in Polymers and Complex Compounds” at the Institute’s scientific seminar. He spoke about the problem of determining the features of the mechanism of defect formation in polymers irradiated with low-energy ions. The scientist also showed how to use positron anhydration spectroscopy to study these processes.

 The report aroused great interest of the seminar participants, a wide exchange of views took place with the participation of professors Rovshan Khalilov and Rauf Sardarli.
