The scientific conference on "Literary process in Nakhchivan-2019" was held in the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS.

The event, organized by the Nakhchivan Division and Writers’ Union of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, was opened by the chairman of the Division academician Ismayil Hajiyev. Recalling the views of the national leader Heydar Aliyev on Azerbaijani literature, he noted that the great leader highly appreciated domestic history, literature and culture and their role in the spiritual life of the people. I. Hajiyev said that with the return of the great leader Heydar Aliyev to political power in literature, as in all areas of the country's life, there was a revival. According to the decrees and orders of the great leader, many literary events were held in our country, anniversaries of outstanding personalities were celebrated, and artists were awarded high state awards.

The chairman of the Division said that the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev to this area continues.

Then the reports of the first vice-president of ANAS academician Isa Habibbayli on “Study of the literary environment of Nakhchivan at a new stage”, head department of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Sura Seyid on “Literary policy and modernity in the teaching of statehood”, and others were listened.

Academician Isa Habibbayli praised the event dedicated to the analysis of literary processes in Nakhchivan. Stressing the need to study the literary environment, scientist noted that the Nakhchivan Division has done significant work in this direction, books have been published and dissertations written on the life of various prominent personalities. The first vice-president of ANAS noted that in order to systematically study the literary processes of Nakhchivan, Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi and Institute of Art, Language and Literature of the Nakhchivan Division prepared a monographic book.
