The presentation of monograph dubbed “The problem of writer and language in the academic heritage of Professor Yusif Seyidov up to XX century” co-auhored by Abulfaz Guliyev, director of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature of the Nakhchivan Division, corresponding member of ANAS and Aliya Abulfaz gizi, a senior researcher of the Institute of Linguistics PhD in Philology.

The event was opened by the deputy director of the Institute of Arts, Language and Literature, Professor Huseyn Hashimli, who gave information about the life and work of the Honored Scientist, Professor Yusif Seidov, who made an exceptional contribution to the development of linguistics in Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the monograph consists of three chapters, a conclusion and a list of references, covering about 250 works.

Then, Huseyn Hashimli delivered a lecture on “The problem of writer and language in the academic heritage of Professor Yusif Seyidov”.

Yusif Seyidov was one of the scientists who created the school in the field of linguistics. A scientist who has been studying the problems of literary criticism and linguistics for more than 60 years has devoted his research to the theoretical and applied problems of linguistics. Because of his research in this area, he published more than 200 scientific papers, including more than 30 monographs, books, textbooks and study guides, was noted at the event.

Speakers highlighted the scientific significance of the new publication and wished the authors success in their further scientific work.
