A webinar on "Azerbaijani manuscripts in collections and libraries around the world" was held

Employees of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of ANAS took part in the scientific webinar "Azerbaijani manuscripts in collections and libraries of the world" held on the platform "Zoom: Video Conferencing".

The moderator of the webinar Shahla Khalilli, a researcher of the Department of Turkic Manuscripts Research of the Institute of Manuscripts, informed about the manuscript collections preserved in the funds of the Institute of Manuscripts.

Kamran Abdullayev, a lecturer at the University of Trabzon, spoke about the manuscripts of Azerbaijani authors preserved in manuscript collections in Azerbaijan, world libraries, museums and archives, the history of library work in our country and calligraphy schools.

Then, head of the department of the Institute of Manuscripts, PhD in Philology Karimulla Mammadzadeh noted that 5 important and ancient manuscripts preserved in the fund of the institute were included to the UNESCO "Memory of the World" list.

Participating in the dialogue, Fariz Khalilli, director of the Agsu City Reserve and PhD in History, praised the work of academician Teymur Karimli in including the manuscripts of the Institute of Manuscripts in the UNESCO list.

Zakiya Abilova, a senior researcher at the Institute for the Research of Manuscripts and Old Printed Books, spoke about the autographed copy of the XI century author Khatib Tabrizi's commentary, noting the scientific significance of the study of this copy by manuscripts.
