Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS hosted a scientific seminar on "Selim Turan - an artist with a dervish spirit" dedicated to the work of Selim Turan, the son of the writer, the heir-spiritual successor of the outstanding Turkologist, scientist, thinker and artist Ali bey Huseynzade.

The head of the Department the explanation and storage of the exposition and the support of the audio-observation Tomiris Babanli , made a report on the subject. In her speech, she spoke about the meaningful life of the world-famous Azerbaijani abstractionist artist-sculptor Selim Turan, his years of education and creativity at the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts, Paris Ecole de Bozar Higher School of Art, as well as the French art environment.

The seminar continued with questions and speeches of the Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs, Doctor of Philology, Professor Khatira Bashirli, Head of the Press and Information Department, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology Nazmiyya Yigitoglu, Researcher of the Department of Research and Presentation of New and Modern Azerbaijani Literature Torakhanim Huseynova and others.
