June 2, main building of ANAS hosted for presentation ceremony on ANAS Free Trade Union’s activity for 2014.
Event was attended by members of the Presidium, chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions, MP Sattar Mehbaliyev, chairmen of institute and organizations of ANAS and mass media.
Opening the event ANAS president acad. Akif Alizadeh spoke about the role of FTU in social life of academy and highly estimated its activity. This union closely participates in social-economic problems solution of academy employees, he noted.
Academician expressed his certainty in trade union’s future performance due to obtain fruitful outputs from reforms carried out by MR. President Ilham Aliyev, including rapidly going reforms in ANAS.
Later on, chairman of ANAS Free Trade Union, prof. Isa Aliyev presented lecture of results for 2014. He stated that, key reforms pursued by Mr. President is the provision of employment, creation of new jobs, principle of giving priority to addressing issues, social protection of the population and so on.
Making speech on done works held within the purposeful reforms and innovative performance in ANAS, lecturer stressed out that, scientific scope has been created here governing by academician Akif Alizadeh.
He also provided information on the ANAS FTU covering 44 organizations. Here include organization and coordination of governance, labor rights and the protection of low-income families, financial assistance, organization and management of cultural events etc. Lecturer touched upon the state-of-the-art problems in the union and its solutions as well.
Deputy chair of Free Trade Union, prof. Isakhan Valiyev highlighted the protecting of employees’ rights and interests as the major tasks of the union. According to him, by the adoption of AR law “On the Trade Unions” relied on experience of the International Trade Union which regulates union’s activity at level of modern demands, was approved these organizations to operate irrespective of any state agency within the scope of their charters.
I.Valiyev noted that, Trade Unions are free bodies not depending on state agencies, institutions, political parties and public associations.
Reporters held discussions on results of activity for 2014 and made suggestions.
