Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Next meeting of the Department of Social Sciences of ANAS (DSS) was held at Presidium on 8 June.

Meeting was attended by chief of Science and Education Department of ANAS Administration of Presidium, Doctor of Technical Sciences Aminaga Sadigov, as well as bureau members.

Opening the meeting, Academician- secretary of DSS, corresponding member of ANAS Nargis Akhundova reported on the issues of agenda.

Then chief of Science and Education Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences Aminaga Sadigov told about important issues in the field of science and education discussed at ANAS recently, and noted that have been taken the important decisions.

A.Sadigov noted about decree signed by President of ANAS Academician Akif Alizadeh on "Conducting admission to doctoral studies and doctoral exams based on testing technologies” dated June 9, 2015.

In connection with the execution of the decree, Institute of Information Technology held seminar on July 3 on the discussions in this regard, were made suggestions and recommendations.

He reminded the decision of ANAS Presidium dated March 4, 2015 and reported on the definition of new criteria for the assessment of knowledge of the foreign language for admission to doctoral studies and doctoral exams in ANAS.

According to the scientist, until October 1, should be drawn up test items for examination on specialties, while at the same time by means of information and communication technologies should be developed special programs on philosophy and foreign languages.

At the meeting, head department of the Institute of Philosophy and Law, Doctor of Philosophy Rafiga Azimova delivered a lecture on "Human resources and its timely disclosure as a basis of formation of the human capital".

Also were discussed issues of creating Human sciences laboratory attached to Sociology and social psychology department of the Institute of Philosophy and Law, approving corresponding member of ANAS Shahin Mustafayev to the post of deputy director for scientific affairs of the Institute of Oriental Studies, making changes in the structure of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Economy.

In closing, were discussed numerous staff issues.
