President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh met with Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Nikolai Paskevich who completed his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.

Meeting with participation of Academician-secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, head of International Relations Department of ANAS Presidium Administration, PhD in geology-mineralogy Gulam Babayev, head of the Public Relations and Science Popularization Department of the Presidium Administration Zulfugar Farzaliyev, aimed to discuss current academic ties and collaboration outlooks.

In advance, N.Paskevich spoke about done works in Azerbaijan during his diplomatic mission. His key targets were to set up and develop links with Belarus in the spheres of economy, agriculture, and tourism.

In his tern, acad. Akif Alizadeh noted that, in latest years Azerbaijan specially focused on application of modern technologies and creation of space industry. First steps were put in the directions of molecular biology and biotechnology and complex measures are being taken in ANAS for assimilating foreign experience and new approaches, he said.

Making speech on researches held between scientific ventures of two parties, A.Alizadeh stressed out obtained vital achievements.

In the meeting, discussion carried out on the agreement to be signed in November of current year, and joint conduction of cosmic researches.
