II Special Department of ANAS Administration of the Presidium hosted the next workshop.

Opening the event head of the II Special Department Eldar Guliyev brought to the attention, that the chiefs of staff of civil defense of scientific institutions and organizations of Academy are regularly informed about topics covering various areas.

Then E. Guliyev informed the participants with the issues on the agenda. Reported on carrying out in November of this year the 70th anniversary of ANAS, he noted the importance of the implementation of forthcoming works in accordance with the Plan of Civil Defense (CD) for 2015.

Next, the deputy director of the Institute of History, PhD in history Jabi Bahramov presented the report on ”International situation, the conflicts in the countries of the Middle East and factors which create these conflicts”.

In his speech, Jabi Bakhramov stressed that, the oil of Baku for many years was the object of the struggle of many countries, spoke about issues related to the Baku oil as the main reason of the most terrible events of the XX century - the First and Second World Wars. The speaker noted that, oil of Baku had satisfied the 57% of world oil demand and 95% of Russia. It is absolutely difficult indicator. Told about historical realities, the speaker noted that, thanks to the tireless work of domestic scientists and researchers all realities were revealed on the basis of incontestable facts. D.Bahramov noted that, thanks to purposeful policy pursued by the head of the country Ilham Aliyev, established close ties of cooperation with the countries of the Middle East as well as with other countries, the measures which are carried out for creation of conditions for rapid progress in Azerbaijan in the field of science and education, economy and military science, historical realities will be restored.

It was reported that, recently was published "The history of oil" book in English, which reflects reasonable facts related to the Baku oil.

During the event was also highlighted the importance of the timely holding by the leadership of the training for CD in accordance with the plan of CD 2015 for carrying out preventive measures in order to protect of employees from exposure to anticipated emergencies.

At the same time, it was brought to the attention that, in accordance with the decree of ANAS President from 24 December, 2014 five heads of ANAS scientific institutions and organizations will have training on courses of civil defense of the AR Ministry of Emergency Situations on 23-27 November, 2015.
