President of the Science Foundation of the Economic Cooperation Organization Hussein Mansour Soomro visited Division of fundamental problems of the biological productivity of the Institute of Botany chaired by Academician Jalal Aliyev.

Take part in the meeting director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Academician Irada Huseynova informed the guests about the history of the department, research conducted here achieved important result, and staff potential. Then M.Soomro acquainted with the work of laboratories operating in the department.

After the meeting, Professor M.Soomro was presented a special issue of the journal News of ANAS (series of biological and medical sciences) in English, which reflected the main results of Academician Jalal Aliyev and staff of the institute.

During the meeting the parties discussed prospects of joint cooperation.
