On October 2, Presidium of ANAS held a regular meeting of the Bureau of the Department of Social Sciences (DSS).
Opening the meeting, which was attended by members of the Bureau, acting Academician-Secretary of the DSS, corresponding member of ANAS Nargis Akhundova informed about the issues on the agenda.
The event discussed issues related to the performance of the fulfillments related to President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh’s order “On conducting doctoral admission and doctoral exams based on testing technologies in ANAS” dated June 9, 2015, in the research institutions of the Department of Social Sciences.
Further, in their speeches, directors of the institutes informed on the work performed by the execution of orders in academic institutions led by them.
It was noted that the test technology, that widely used at present in the country's education system, plays an important role in raising the level of knowledge. Reported that, the test tasks were prepared by the department institutes on specialty exams. Also, thanks to information and communication technologies in philosophy and foreign languages were prepared special programs. The event also highlighted the need for oral exams for the humanities.
There was a broad exchange of views on the subject, several questions have been responded, put forward suggestions and recommendations.
At the conclusion of the event it was considered a number of personnel issues, including was scheduled making changes in the structure of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography.
