ANAS President received the delegation of Caspian Strategy Institute

ANAS Presidium hosted the meeting with delegation led by general secretary of Caspian Strategy Institute Haldun Yavash.

In a meeting, director of the Institute of History corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov spoke about preparatory works in respect of Republic days of Turkey and Azerbaijan to be held in October of current year. Event would be an important international forum in terms of assessment of history, geography, geology, including role and place of the Caspian Sea in a world history, and discovery of new scientific problems. Conference will be invited scientists from different countries of the world. Conference has been submitted over 250 papers from more than 20 countries so far, and it would be one of the most important events in the history of academy, stated Y.Mahmudov.

Later on, stressing out the Caspian Sea as unique basin all over the world for its geological history and resource, President of ANAS Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that, not only people living on the shore of the Caspian Sea but also other peoples living in the vicinity of Mexico and Persian Gulf have a rich tradition. Scientist said that people living around the Caspian Sea convey ideas of multiculturalism, always maintained friendly relations with each other. "Therefore, it is extremely important to glance at the geological history of the Caspian Sea and study of geographical problems", noted Akif Alizadeh and stated the relevance of organization and formation of Caspian Research Center at the ANAS.

In closing, Haldun Yavash made a speech and thanked to ANAS president for support in organizing the conference, as well as shared opinions on event program, scientists and specialists to be invited, scientific lectures and other issues.
