Presidium of ANAS Nakhchivan Branch held a next assembly.

In advance, chairman of the Branch, Academician Ismayil Hajiyev acquainted the attendees on the issues of agenda.

A lecture on “Sarcosporidioza of agricultural animals and birds in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” by an employee of the Institute of Bioresources, PhD in Biology, Assoc. Prof. Ismayil Mammadov, was listened at the event. The reporter said that pursuant to the items of State Program "On the reliable supply of food products to the population of the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2008-2015, approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 25 August 2008, and State Program “On the reliable supply of food products to the population of the Nakhchivan Autonomous in 2008-2015” approved by the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, dated September 17, 2008, extensive organizational work is carried out in the autonomous republic.

Then, Chief of Scientific-Organizing Department of the Branch PhD in Agrarian sciences Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Baghirov made speech on holding reports of the results of research works carried out at the Branch in 2016.

Informing on the research works at the Laboratory of Biochemical studies of the aforementioned institute, the lab chief PhD in Biology Assoc. Prof. Ramiz Alakbarov noted that, biomorphological and medical features of some plants in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, their growth, distribution, phytochemical composition by analyzing its usage as an medicine, including the possibility of using them in science and folk, have been studied. 10 scientific and a newspaper articles as well as 9 academic papers, covering the research carried out within a year, have been submitted for publication.

Senior researchers of the Institute of Bioresources – PhD in Agrarian sciences Gunel Seyidzadeh and PhD in Biological sciences Namig Abbasov’s scientific reports for 2016 have been listened.

Next discussing issue was on changing the titles of the thesis topics. Head of Education and HR Department of the Institute of Art, Language, and Literature, PhD in Philology Assoc. Prof. Zulfiyye Ismayil “Word creativity in Nakhchivan dialects and accents” and junior researcher of Geography department of the Institute of Natural Resources Ilaha Seyidova “As investigation of eco-geographical condition along the Araz River in the area of Nakhchivan AR as a result of the human impact” have been changed into the “Word formation problems in Nakhchivan dialects and accents” and “The landscape planning of natural components of the Nakhchivanchay basin”.

Then, some cadre problems were scheduled.
