Regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography was held

By decision of the Presidium of ANAS the meeting discussed the goals standing in the way of creating a wiki-groups in academic institutions and organizations of ANAS. According to the decision of Presidium of ANAS at meeting were discussed the purposes getting in the way of creation of wiki- groups in scientific institutions and the ANAS organizations. On action also was discussed the importance of complex and exact placement on the website Wikipedia information about Azerbaijan's ancient history, cultural heritage and archeology. At institute was created the Working group with the purpose of enrichment, development and protection of part of the Wiki-environment concerning archeology and ethnography of Azerbaijan. The working group is created on the basis of the Decision of Presidium of ANAS “About Definition in the Encyclopedia “Wikipedia” of National Cultural Values of Azerbaijan, Their Protection and Development, about Tasks of Scientists” on January 15, 2014. The working group will consider materials on archeology and ethnography in the wiki-environment, in “Wikipedia” information on scientific achievements in the field of archeology and ethnography of Azerbaijan, outstanding archeologists, their works and archaeological monuments will regularly take place. Note that recently in the encyclopedia “Wikipedia” were placed untrue materials related to archeology Azerbaijan. The working group will be engaged in prevention of emergence of such materials, placement of exact and full scientific materials, providing scientific achievements to world and Azerbaijan community.
