Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Deputy Director of the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS, Doctor of Philology Pasha Karimov has been awarded the science and technology prize at the XIII Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in Islamabad on March 1.

P. Karimov was deserved to this prize for his studies of medieval Azerbaijan literature, and a comprehensive research of literary relations among Turkic and Islamic peoples.

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif presented the award to the scientist- researcher.

Note that, among Azerbaijani scientist for the first time this award was received by Arif Pashayev.
