Memory of the outstanding scientist Ajdar Farzali honored

Natavan Club of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan (CUW) held a conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of a prominent scientist, a researcher who discovered the alphabet at Gemigaya-Gobustan, a publicist, poet Ajdar Farzali.

Secretary of the Writers' Union Rashad Mejid, who spoke about the life and work of Ajdar Farzali, shared his memories of the scientist. He said that, the creative legacy of the poet scientist includes 19 books, more than 300 scientific articles.

Noting that, the scientist since 1976 until the end of his life directed all his energies to study the monuments of "Gamigaya-Gobustan". R. Mejid has told that, the thoughts which are put forward in a cycle of monographs of the writer in connection with these monuments, carried-out scientific analyses and also results have been approved further by new researches of scientists. R. Mejid has highlighted merits of the poet in preparation of the encyclopedia Kitabi Dede Gorgud.

Then, head of the Department of ANAS Institute of Literature, Doctor of Philology sciences, Professor Asif Rustamli delivered a report on "Scientific and artistic creativity of Ajdar Farzali". In the report it was noted that, A.Farsali first systemically analyzed from a scientific-historical, comparative and methodological point of view the drawings at "Gamigaya-Gobustan". One of its important discoveries is the multi-digit ancient Azerbaijani alphabet.

A. Rustamli brought to the attention that the writer throughout his life was in search of a national spirit and played an important role in attributing local toponyms to the mountains and rivers. He noted that, the memory of the poet who donated dozens of such books as "Yolçu, yolun uzaqdır," Dədə Qorqud yolu"," Torpaqdan səs gəlir "," Yanır bütün pərvanələr "," Körpü "," Azadlıq ", to the treasury of Russian literature and science Dilində danışaq "," Nizami zirvəsi "," Hamı yenidən doğulmalıdır "," Dədə Qorqud sözü "," Salam, Layısqı dağları ", will always live in our hearts.

Then, speaking, Director of the Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi, Academician Mohsun Nagisoylu, noted that prominent scientists scientifically studied the basic principles of etymology, which is an important field of linguistics. Pointing out that, A.Farzali has consistently followed the stages of the development of etymology over the past 2500 years; M.Nagisoylu said that, the researches of the scientist made positive changes in the history of Azerbaijan.

At the event, Milli Majlis deputy Agil Abbas, Director of the Azerbaijan National Library after M.F. Akhundzadeh Kerim Tahirov, dean of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Professor Buludkhan Khalilov, poet-publicist Ali Rza Khalafli and others telling about the work and scientific and literary merits of A. Farzali, shared his memories.

Within the framework of the event was held the presentation of the "The Gemiga-Gobustan Culture" book dedicated to the memory of the poet, which was reprinted by the National Library for the second time.

In conclusion, sounded A.Farzali’s poems and gazelles and mughams.
