On November 7, Baku Business Center hosted a scientific seminar titled "The role of the state flag in the history of modern statehood of Azerbaijan and propaganda directions".

Head of the Seaside Boulevard Department at the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Ilgar Mustafayev spoke about the establishment of the state flag, which is the symbol of independence of Azerbaijan. He noted that our tricolor flag, which is the source of pride for each of us, for the first time, was founded in 1918 during Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR).

It was noted that on the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev on November 17, 1990, the Popular Front of the Nakhchivan National Assembly has raised the flag. Thus, our tricolor flag has been re-released.

Director of the Institute of History of ANAS, academician Yagub Mahmudov, congratulating the participants on the occasion of the National Flag Day, said that the flag of Azerbaijan is one of the first flags of the world civilization. The scientist noted that the event was dedicated to the role and place of the state flag of Azerbaijan in the modern society, its moral, political, ideological importance and state symbols in the formation of the younger generation.

Then the head of Sabail District Executive Power Eldar Azizov spoke about the importance of this remarkable day. He emphasized that such events play a special role in preserving patriotic feelings and national moral values ​​among young people, as well as promoting state symbols in educational institutions.

Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov said that on February 5, 1991, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted the Law "On the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan", emphasizing that this flag demonstrates our commitment to national values ​​and universal ideals.
