ANAS Institute of Law and Human Rights held a "round table" dedicated to the opening of the department "Rights of people with disabilities".
The event was attended by deputies of the Milli Mejlis, officials of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, representatives of international organizations and the Paralympic Committee, employees of the Logos Medical Center, scientists and representatives of the media.
Speaking at the event, the director of the institute, Doctor of Law Ayten Mustafazadeh noted that, the structure she supervises constantly pays special attention to the issue of protection of the rights of disabled people. In this direction, appropriate scientific research is conducted and legislative initiatives are put forward.

A.Mustafazadeh underlined the importance of integrating people with limited physical abilities into society, solving their social and domestic problems, developing inclusive education, organizing their vocational training and providing work. She spoke about the need for direct participation of each member of society in the solution of the above-mentioned issues, including changes in the attitude of people to people with disabilities.
At the event the deputy of the Milli Majlis Jala Aliyeva, head of the department of the Ministry of Education Anar Gadimaliyev, human rights defender of people with disabilities Sevda Safaraliyeva, head of Elm TV of ANAS Khatira Jabbarzadeh and others who spoke also stressed the need to provide disabled people with training, equipment, including their integration into society.
