Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An event dedicated to the 2 February - Youth Day was held at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS.

Director of the Institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev spoke about the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism. Heydar Aliyev always cared young people and appreciated their knowledge and skills, the speker emphasized.

Vusal Farzaliev noted that the Order of the National Leader signed in 1997 proclaimed February 2 as Youth Day in Azerbaijan. At present, the youth policy has entered a new phase, the academician said that great responsibility for scientific youth at all stages of history. She underlined the importance of using the opportunities created by the institute to focus young people on their academic level, knowledge and skills.

Then the chairman of the Institute of Young Scientists and Experts, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor Afsun Sujayev noted that the award for youth was established for the first time in the Academy of Sciences. Five young scientists were awarded this award. A.Sucaev also noted that regular competitions were held for young people, and diplomas and cash prizes were awarded to the winners.

Professor Hiqatat Javadova, head of laboratory of the institute, associate professor Nusrat Aliyev, chairman of the Trade Union Organization, docent Elkhan Isakov and others shared their experiences with young people.

In the end, academician Vagif Farzaliyev gave awards to young people elected last year for their scientific and social activities.
