Director of the Institute of Physics  of ANAS, academician Nazim Mammadov met with well-known Russian scientists.

He informed guests about the activity of the enterprise, its scientific results and spoke about the researches carried out here.

During the meeting, the real member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Roald Sagdeev, made a speech at the meeting, including the exchange of personnel, prospects of cooperation, and touched on such issues.

Then, a seminar was held with the participation of guests at the Physics Institute. The vice-president of ANAS, academician Ibrahim Guliyev and director of the Republican Seismological Service Center, correspondent member of ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli also attended the seminar. At the seminar was delivered paper by the director of Institute of Earth Physics, a correspondent member of the RSA Sergey Tikhotski.

He gave information about the history of the Earth Physics Institute, its development path to date, and the directors headed by a scientific institution at different times. He said that the institute, which is 90 years old, has about 600 employees.

The seminar continued with the speech of Laboratory Director of the Institute of Earth Physics, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Oleg Poxotelov.

Finally, speakers respondent the questions of the seminar participants.
