On April 30, 2014th at ANAS Institute of Geology held all-republican scientific seminar in the field of geosciences. Opened the event Deputy Director, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Dadash Huseynov gave information about the issues on the agenda. Then, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mirali Alosmanov made the report on “New technologies on use of waste of mineral deposits (oil and nonmetallic) and on reduction of their influence by environment”. The scientist noted that in the world including in the republic, in operation of mineral deposits, processing, the industries and in the whole development of an urbanization in the top part of a lithosphere arise geoenvironmental problems and also noted that a main objective of prevention of emergence of ecological intensity in environment is neutralization of oil, natural and mineral connections and chemical industrial wastes, preparation of scientific bases on their effective application. M. Alosmanov noted that in Azerbaijan there are about 3800 oil wells, more than 2300 of them act. According to the scientist, during drilling of an oil well about 100 tons of slimes and 100 tons of the reservoir waters extracted from a subsoil of the earth, decay on an earth surface. I reported that slimes and reservoir waters are the reasons of change of a landscape on a lithosphere surface, and also change their mode of underground waters, polluting them in an aeration zone. M. Alosmanov told that some waste of the chemical industry is environmental pollution factors in the Sumgai city; he emphasized danger of these pollutants to human health in the form of liquid, gas, a dust and in a firm state. M. Alosmanov noted possibility of receiving by a certain technology of raw materials for processing of fertilizers from this waste as a part of which there are nutritious elements and connections (phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium) for the earth and plants: “As a result of it when using technological process fertilizers from waste of slimes, sulfate of ammonium and the clay extracted from oil wells are developed, the polluted territories are cleared by waste and anthropogenous load of environment” decreases. In conclusion, there was an exchange of views on the subject and were given answers to questions.
