Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A ceremony dedicated to the new stage of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and “Clarivate Analytics” was held on December 5.

The event represented "Azerbaijan Higher Education Institutions: Results and Perspectives" in the Web of Science in 2015-2018, and the "Web of Science Azerbaijan-2018" awards.

“Applied and Computational Mathematics” journal, awarded with the “Web of Science Azerbaijan-2018”, was supported by the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies and National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Applied Mathematics Scientific Research Institute of BSU.

The award was presented to the editor-in-chief of the journal, the director of the Baku State University (BSU) Applied Mathematical Scientific Research Institute, academician Fikrat Aliyev.

Note that, since 2002, the "Applied and Computational Mathematics" journal has been included in the expanded list of Thomson Reuters Agency (now Clarivate Analytics), the first and only scientific publication in Azerbaijan's science history. The journal has received impact factor (quality) since 2010. "Applied and Computational Mathematics" is the only impetus Azerbaijani scientific journal of "Web of Science".

The journal is the 19th among 252 international publications in the field of applied mathematics, high technologies, 4th in the European Union, and the 1st among the former Soviet countries. Editorial staff of the International Scientific journal includes 32 prominent scientists from 18 countries.
