Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, academician Akif Alizadeh met with the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Kestutis Jankauskas.

Welcoming the guest, the President of ANAS informed about the activity of the organization headed by him and achievements. He talked about the scientific projects implemented by the Academy's institutes. Academician Akif Alizadeh also informed about the activities carried out in the direction of commercialization of science in ANAS and the activities of the ANAS High Technology Park. He invited the guest to get acquainted with the projects implemented at HT Park and its infrastructure.

Expressing his gratitude for the sincere welcome, Kestutis Jankauskas spoke about the development of EU-Azerbaijan relations, meetings with ministries and state agencies, and programs implemented in various fields.

Kestutis Jankauskas also spoke about projects implemented jointly with universities in Azerbaijan. He noted that various trainings on higher education were held within the framework of these projects and that the students were sent to the prestigious universities of Europe to study.

Academician Akif Alizade expressed confidence that the successful establishment of relations with the European Union and cooperation will further develop due to K.Jankauskas’s activity in our country.

The meeting was also attended by Vice President of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, Head of International Relations Department of the Presidium, PhD in Biology Esmira Alirzayeva, Head of Press and Information Office Zulfugar Farzaliyev.
