Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Scientific-theoretical seminar on theme “Orientalistics” was held at theInstitute of Oriental Studies named after academician Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS. The seminar was devoted to the actual problems of Oriental studies. Leading researcher of Religion and public opinion Department, Dr in theology Jeyhun Mamedov made a speech on theme “State-religion relations in the period of independence in Azerbaijan”. The report dealt with of the religious situation in modern Azerbaijan, the care of the state towards religion, tolerance in Azerbaijan and current problems in religion.

The report was discussed, questions answered.
