Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On January 21, ANAS Presidium held next bureau meeting of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences (DBMS). 

Opening the meeting, Academician-secretary of the Department, Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov underlined key tasks before department and stated that, one of the key targets is to strengthen staff potential and involve the youth to researches.

Scientist tocuhed upon preparation of manuals and methodic aids for master studies of academy as well. Methodic aids should be developed in priority directions of science due to increase quality of education both in master studies of academy and highest schools of the country, he noted.

He also stated the necessity of organizing courses of foreign languages and stressed out that, department associates who were sent to abroad for probation should report before Academic Council. Academician challenged scientist and researchers to publish more articles on the world’s prestigious journals with impact factor.

A.Amiraslanov reminded the Order of the AR President dated January 15, 2016 on celebrating notable Azerbaijan scientist and social figure, Academician Veli Akhundov’s 100th anniversary in May 2016. He charged DBMS to prepare draft resolution related this issue.

Meeting discussed the publication issue of “Terms vocabulary on Bioinformatics” by corresponding member of ANAS Ilham Shahmuradov as well.

Then some staff problems were sheduled.
