Discussed the results of admission to doctoral studies in two ANAS Departments in 2015

Presidium of ANAS discussed the results of admission to doctoral training programs for PhD students and doctoral students of the Department of Humanities and Department of Social Sciences of ANAS in 2015, on February 12.

Opening the event, President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that, the main purpose of the doctoral education is to prepare highly qualified doctoral and scientific-pedagogical staff in various scientific fields, in accordance with the state policy in the sphere of education.

Academician stressed the necessity to take into account the requirements of the labor market and society in determining nominees for doctoral themes.

Head of ANAS noted that, nominees who received the doctoral program for the preparation of PhD and Doctor of Sciences, in their theses, the topics of which subjects are approved, have to propose the new solution of any question representing great value and also to give the advanced scientific comment on the economic, technical and technological development having great applied value.

The main ideas and results, novelty of scientific provisions of the thesis, and also scientific and practical value of research, personal contribution of the author to research should be at the high level.

Then, Academician Akif Alizadeh acquainted with the themes of doctoral theses, the sides exchanged views on the topics.

The scientific departments also have to give preference to subjects, having a large value for the future development of science, in future choice of thesis themes, he added.
