Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Central Scientific Library (CSL) held a report conference on the annual commissioning.

Opening the event Vice-President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbeyli stated that, academy is on the development stage, and commissioning a new building is a obvious example of attention by Mr. President for science, education and culture.

Academician I.Habibbeyli noted about successful projects such as “National Digital Memory”, "Unified Management System", "Wikipedia", "Parallel Inquiry", "Open Library" etc. implemented at the library and specially underlined digitalizing of literature belonging to national leader Heydar Aliyev’s heritage, and arranging it in a format of e-catalogue and video slide.

Making speech on projects and events realized at the CSL academician stated that, the library to meet modern requirements has been provided with all necessary equipment. 

Director of the library PhD in Medicine Leyla Imanova reported on works done and outputs within per year. She said that upcoming tasks set forth library in September 2015 have been implemented successfully: “Totally in 7 months library funds were transferred from main building to a new building and was prepared for users within 3 months. The departments were reconstructed and a number of projects were implemented. The website of library has been launched as well.”

L. Imanov noted that, 5 strategic targets have been set for 2016-2019 covering to prepare a Unified management system, make the digital memory database operational, form professional staff, set up international cooperation and public relations, provide the highest level of information security.
