Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The “Arabic-Azerbaijani Phrasebook with Transcriptions” book co-authored by head of the department of the Institute of Oriental Studies associate professor Mammadali Babashli, PhD in Philology Abdin Evis Jones Muhamad and Gafar Ojagli was published.

The guide for interpreters, providing guide services has been developed to facilitate communication with tourists from Arab countries. The publication can be used by travel agents, employees of museums, cafes, restaurants, employees of shopping centers and drivers of vehicles.

Brief information about the geography, history and sights of Azerbaijan, rich culture and cuisine is also included to book. The booklet also includes the translation of words and phrases relating to state and national holidays, national customs and traditions of Azerbaijan.
