Since 2012, February 14 has been marked as “International Book Giving Day” at the initiative of Emmy Broadmore, the founder of the popular US children's book site “Delightful Children's Books”. It has been celebrated in Azerbaijan for several years now with a number of events.

The main purpose of this holiday, as its name suggests, is to increase the interest of the younger generation in reading by donating books. In this regard, book donation campaigns are being held in many countries around the world. Let's not forget that the most beautiful and valuable gift in the world is a book.

The Central Scientific Library of ANAS, which has more than one million valuable scientific sources and more than 6,000 readers, has prepared an interesting and propaganda video on the occasion of the “International Book Giving Day”.
