Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On December 2, ANAS Presidium signed a Memorandum between ANAS and National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic.

The purpose of the memorandum is the application of scientific achievements and innovations in the different spheres of production, education, entrepreneurship and determination of forms of joint business entities.

Opening the event, President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh told about the tasks and activities to be undertaken in this field. Highly appreciating the cooperation with the Confederation, head of ANAS said that, this cooperation is of great importance in terms of supporting the innovation economy in the country, strengthening the links between science and industry, bringing applied research in line with market requirements.

Saying that, ANAS continue to implement reforms aimed at building a knowledge-based economy, Academician Akif Alizadeh said that, the cooperation will bring a significant contribution to the activities in the field of production technology, high-tech products and the formation of intellectual business in the country.

Then, acted President of National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NCE) Mammad Musayev. Speaking about the spheres of activity of the organization Mammad Musayev said that, NCE is an organization that promotes the improvement of the business environment in Azerbaijan, coordinates the activity of entrepreneurs, protecting their legal and economic interests, helping them to find partners in the country and abroad.

President of the Confederation noted that, the NCE is actively involved in the implementation of activities aimed at achieving the country's high economic efficiency and its successful integration into the world economic system, and added that, the NCE is a member of international organizations, socio-economic orientation, as well as working closely with the Embassy of the Republic in foreign countries. He stressed that, in order to ensure the development of the scientific and business sectors in the future, there was a great need for joint work of scientists and entrepreneurs.

At the event, the sides exchanged views and voiced proposals on priority issues such as the application of scientific achievements in production, providing scientific and technical services, strengthening the links between science, education and production in order to prepare highly skilled personnel, the implementation of joint projects, the development of ANAS and the NCE joint development programs for networking with international organizations, study the experience of the Confederation in the field of entrepreneurship, etc.

Around the topics discussed were delivered reports by the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, head of ANAS Office of Administration, PhD in Political Science Fatali Abdullayev, Academician-Secretary of ANAS Division of Chemical Sciences, Dilgam Tagiyev, Academician-Secretary of ANAS Division of Biological and Medical Sciences, Academician Amiraslanov Ahliman, President of the company "Matanat A" Elkhan Bashirov, director of "Neuron Technologies" Ltd Ismayil Alakbarov, Head of ANAS Innovation Department of Presidium Administration, PhD in Agricultural Sciences Vugar Babayev, head of Department of ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Doctor of Geology-Mineralogy Sciences Chingiz Kashkay and others, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the organizations in terms of achieving the successful development of relations between science and industry.

The memorandum was signed by President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh and President of NCE Mammad Musayev.
