Baku State University (BSU) held an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the leading researcher of the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Professor Nihan Aliyev.

Director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics, academician Fikrat Aliyev told about the life of a scientist, his rich scientific and educational activities. Speaking about the research conducted by Professor N.Aliyev, F.Aliyev said that, the main area of his scientific work is simple differential equations, derived equations, computational methods and elementary mathematics.

The event was attended by head of the chair of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, academician Yusif Mammadov, head of the Education Department of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Professor Adalat Akhundov, head of the laboratory of the Institute of Control Systems, corresponding member of ANAS Aydazade Kamil and others.

In conclusion, N.Aliyev expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participants of the event.
